With Valentine's Day just days away, I decided to get into the 'holiday' spirit and came up with this simple heart framed art. Truthfully, it happened by chance...
I had pink and purple paint chips laying on the table,
a large glob of silver acrylic paint left over from another craft,
and an opening in the paint tube too small to replace the paint.
Rather than washing the paint down the drain, I decided to use it on the paint chips:
I simply cut a heart shape out of a piece of scrap card stock,
centred the card stock over my paint chip,
and dabbed the paint on with my finger.
I really like the finger-painted look - it almost looks like veins!
I then incorporated the verse found in 1 Corinthians 13:13: "And now these three reamain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love."
Using some scrapbook paper leftover from another project, some shipping tags, and sparkly letter stickers (also from another project), I pieced together four frames:
The verse I wrote with a silver pen, and then sealed with some hairspray (the pen ink rubbed off the paint chip quite easily).
Happy (almost) Valentine's Day!
I plan to link up here:
That is so sweet! Would love for you to stop by and link up to the Tuesday To Do Party if you haven't already!
