For several months now I have been wanting to paint with Baby J. I love colour, the feel of finger paint 'swooshing' under my hands, and the creative expression that results from painting.
I have just one little problem: Baby J still puts EVERYTHING into his mouth.
Using even non-toxic paint leaves me feeling a little uneasy. I'm sure that I shouldn't worry; however, I also know that I can come up with an alternative.
A friend of mine suggested using vegetable oil and food colouring, which I still plan to try at a later date.
But for this creative time, we chose to use red and yellow food colouring mixed into plain yogurt. The following photos document our fun. :)
Coloured yogurt is fun AND yummy!

Yogurt is a fabulous idea, especially that you can make it any colour.
ReplyDeleteI've used pudding before especially when we're playing with farm ideas - chocolate makes great mud.
Thanks for the idea
